Alpha Core is a rebuild of the Fedora Core Linux distribution for Alpha-based computers.

Previous Version

The Previous version of Alpha Core is 2.0 (Tosia), and is based on Fedora Core 4. Installation disk images can be downloaded from several mirrors.

Current Version

Alpha Core 3.0 (Nastia) is released. It can be installed as an upgrade to an Alpha Core 2.0 system, or as a fresh installation.

The current build status is viewable at any time, and binary packages are available.

Release History

  • 3.0 (Nastia) : Release based on Fedora Core 5.
  • 2.0 (Tosia): Release based on Fedora Core 4.
  • 1.0 (Svetlana): First general purpose release, based on Fedora Core 3.
  • 0.91 (Juni): Limited release, small bugfixes for 0.9.
  • 0.9 (Carmen): Test release based on Fedora Core 2.
