Editing

Honestly, presentation isn't important initially. Don't treat this like Wikipedia and think you have to do something the "right" way. Relax. If you've got something to add, just add it.

Unlike Wikipedia, we require editors to create accounts and validate their email addresses before editing. Anyone who has used the Alpha Core forums will know how many spammers we tend to attract, and this requirement is intended to help cut some of that down.

Sources of Information

Copying from Wikipedia's Alpha articles is OK, as both sites have content licensed under the GFDL. Of course, this means it's also OK to take content from here and publish it elsewhere, as allowed by that license.

Items from Wikipedia will need a lot of editing to remove references to templates that we don't have, and links to other articles that are unlikely to appear here.

Information from other sites should not be copied and pasted directly into articles here, without permission from their authors. Summaries of these things, and links to the sites in question are, however, just fine.
